I think Joe's (unfortunately former ) friendship with rory and mal on the podcast is what made me begin to like him as i began listening.

He just is really emotional and his feelings are hurt because he thinks his friends don't trust him.

But he also has an enormous ego so he is incapable of being self aware of that. And also wants to maintain complete control because he doesn't know how to navigate in any other situation.

So instead he internalizes it as them personally attacking him as a person, him as a business man, and him as their leader. In which case to stand his ground, to prove his point, and assert dominance he chooses to not show them.

Also im not trying to say that this is the case, im just saying I think this is why he wouldn't show them while it also not being about the money directly.

Thinking that accounting firms don't use excel is hilarious. Literally, any accounting program has an export function that breaks out the numbers by line item by CSV.

Excel often works better than some account programs.
