Nfs late summer 2020 I met Joe’s son at a barbershop we had a mutual barber and he was talkin about the verse/song he did off Rory album. If I recall correctly Reason was on it as well and he basically smoked Joe’s son on the track and he wanted a do over since then we know what happened between all of em so I guess we’ll never hear it.

Rory and Mal basically felt like they deserved more ownership and leverage in the show

That combined with the show’s quality falling off a cliff in 2020 because Rory was going through a breakup and was depressed, and Joe apparently kept taking personal joke shots at Rory, which Rory didn’t see as a joke at all and threatened to fight Joe on air multiple times lol

It all blew up one day when Joe picks up on this tension and threats from Rory and the podcast generally sucking, so he asks Rory to take a break and not come into the next pod. Mal gets very offended by this and takes the pod off with Rory.

They all had a meeting after this at Parks crib and Rory and Mal was like “we wanna see the accounting”, meaning I guess they thought Joe was lying about how much the podcast was making to pay them less. Joe says “fuck no lol” and says it’s none of their business, which pissed Rory and Mal off even more.

They do one final podcast together after all this to try and clear the air and see if chemistry was still there. It was not. The episode was awkward asf

Then they were supposed to show up for the next episode too, but they both bail right before it starts recording, leading Joe to get furious and start recording the No Vaseline of podcasts that was so heated it had to be deleted from Youtube and Spotify lol

and that’s it pretty much, now R&M have their own (terrible) podcast, and JBP got the bionic 6

It was funny to watch in real time tbh
