There's a few genres of podcasts, what Joe Budden and these guys do is long form and unstructured and ignorant, I think people should have enough discernment and media literacy to not treat them as serious "platforms" (hate that dumbass word) and instead take it for what it is, a way to kill time at your boring job with people that sound like they could be your coworkers
in saying that serious well researched structured podcasts just don't really exist regardless, podcasting is really only for killing time, if you want to be educated and informed read a book

There's a time and place for both
My coworkers are generally not very well versed people in stuff I'm interested in (at least not the degree I am) but they're fun and a good laugh, most of the time by far that is the environment I want to be around
if I want to be informed by experts I'll read a book or watch a lecture or speech, podcasting inherently feels like a medium meant to devolve into inside jokes and unorganised chaos like workplace shenanigans
