this is the first time where I had to take a break mid listen
not cus it’s bad or good or anything but because this album is so unfamiliar to me. not saying it’s some grand experimental album but I’ve never heard an album with songs like Diablo, cute etc. Even the two neptunes songs sound nothing alike and one of them doesn’t even sound like a neptunes song
she was flipping burial and Soulja boy like it was nothing what the f*** is this album
man I love this album so much
Where can I go for English translations?
the pic someone posted of the liner notes has the english lyrics too
man I love this album so much
glad you loved it brother
incredible stuff in here

top 2 this year so far imo

Don't think I'll ever get Rosalia. I also don't think she knows what she is either. She's wearing that MIA influence a little too hard here
she literally produced it.
2 Queens respecting each other you love to see it
This album is f***ing amazing
Wasn't sure how to feel about it after the first few listens tbh, but it keeps getting better. Sounded like a mess with a lot of beautiful moments initially, now every song makes increasingly more sense
So many different vibes, special moments and unexpected turns on this. Saoko, Bizcochito, La Combi Versace slap so hard, Hentai and G3 N15 are so beautiful, the random Soulja Boy sample on Delirio de Grandeza that works so well,... really I could name every single track. And Como un G... one of my favorite tracks in years. I love it
A take that I’m sure has already been made:
Saoko has serious On Sight energy. Just pure commitment to a left-field version of her sound to kick off the album, complete with crazy instrumental moments to keep you on your toes
man I love this album so much
You know what’s crazy is your post made me realize I’ve now listened to this album 5 times and never looked at the production notes lmao
Going to give it another spin this evening with a new layer of context
only person I knew for sure was there on first listen was James Blake, I’d recognize those harmonies anywhere

the only person i could kind of recognize was frank dukes i couldn't even recognize james blake production on this
can i like this if i dont speak spanish ?
1000%
I saw her back in 2019 at her Austin City Limits episode taping and another guy in line asked me about that since we’d been chopping it up and I mentioned I don’t even speak Spanish. Same as I said to him: you can absolutely understand the energy and it hits just the same.
I’ve actually gone and looked up translations of her stuff multiple times and it’s almost a new complementary experience to revisit songs you love with lyrical context for the first time.
