    Nah, not really.

That's why you cant remember the hit

If I'm ranking Ross albums, its.....

    Teflon Don
    Deeper Then Rap
    Rather Me Then You
    Trilla
    Port Of Miami 2
    God Forgives
    Port Of Miami
    Mastermind
    Black Market
    Hood Billionaire

This is a good thread. Ross has been on a hell of a run and it's cool that people are noticing.

I'm expecting a really dope project from him soon.

"Richer Than I've Ever Been" coming soon

What was the hit record from.that album?

    Skip that.

What's the most memorable verse from that album?

Mastermind was inconsistent but it had joints.

    re-listen to it now

It had a vibe but the records that were supposed to connect really didnt. At least not for me, and I'm a huge Ross guy.

Thug's Cry is prolly the most memorable joint from that album without me looking at a tracklist.

I might need to go over Ross' discog one time before RTIEB drops

That's fair, still had a lot of great joints imo

I love this track. One of the best examples of Abel showing up on a track and it turning into a Weeknd song.

It’s no Ross project since Teflon Don that’s been weak aside from the freestyle tapes

Hood Billionaire is his worst effort.

Black Market is barely a step above it. Money Dance and Foreclosures save that album.

i like the fact that never truly tried to chase trends either.

he could’ve cut some tracks and skits but its a good album, rozay had a overlooked decade

    Read this as Russ

  • Oct 16, 2020

His style is timeless, he is also helped by the fact that rappers know which kind of production to get him on

It’s crazy Ross was such a huge star because imo he fits the new age hip hop revival scene so we’ll. Maybe it’s just because diand but I feel like he could kill the griselda/Gibbs scene

  • Oct 16, 2020

Thanks @op I’d missed some of these

Every time he hops on a feature for them it's fire so I guess you're right

idk I feel like he's overlooked kinda. his peak was from 06-2010 imo even tho he had other good moments in the 2010's

maybe he should lay low with giving features everywhere?

Trying to get the buzz buzzing and work the fans into a frenzy so when he drops the album people will auto cop just based on the run he's on.

And judging by this post, it's working.

Thugga, Ross and Gibbs are on my list for top feature artists of the year. Durk too.

there's too many 'hot acts' right now to get a buzz going. people's focus is all on the travis's and baby's and thug's and Griselda's etc.

you gotta be the top tier rapper to never lose buzz. that's why kendrick can disappear for 3.5 years and ppl still fiending for his album without even creating a buzz or featuring on other ppl's songs

But Ross isnt just doing every feature, hes doing the right features.

He knows his demo and I think people trust the Rick Ross brand.

But you're 100% right. You know you're lit when you dont have s*** going on and people still find reasons to talk about you lol
