Some of Y’all thinking this is controversial exposes how little y’all know about the culture
For some perspective saying Doggystyle > Em’s discog is like saying Thriller > The Weeknd’s discog
Like duh
I love Doggystyle, it's a classic, but Em has a better discography. Snoop has weak albums on weak albums.
How delusional do you have to be to think Doggystyle is better than Eminem Show or Marshall Mathers LP. It’s just straight up denial at that point
excuse them for being drawn to funk influenced instrumentals and flows instead of watered down pop/rnb hooks and chainsaw sounds.
Denial
Let people like what they like, eminem (like any artist) doesn't have music that everyone unanimously likes, get over it
first good opinion i've heard all day.
out of every person in GOAT conversation em is by far the most overrated
Em fell off after Recovery and he’s hella goofy now, but if you say Doggystyle > MMLP or TES your a f***ing weirdo.
Notice he only says Doggystyle because Doggystyle is the only good Snoop album 🤷♂️.
Em is soft now. He praises every artist he meets. And then he gets slapped in the face by everyone including his own artists.
Young Em wouldn't have tolerated this disrespect by everyone. He kicked Stat for less lmao.
What happened with Stat?
I don’t see the problem here Em is higher than Snoop on my top mc list too and Doggy style is better than every Em album
Doggystyle is one of the most influential and impact hip hop albums ever. Eminem has never made an album as impactful. This honestly isn’t even disrespect because Snoop is in the GOAT discussion.

To be fair , doggystyle has a funk influenced sound that people who grew up with are inclined to prefer (dr dre heavily sampled funk records for his black artists whilst eminem got very good beats but it wasn't majorly g-funk, nor did eminem Flow on it like a snoop did)
So it's a matter of personal preference, maybe you're saying that em's 2 albums are better because you like them, royce is saying he prefers doggystyle
Also saying doggystyle is his only good album, is once again subjectif because, I for really enjoy his sound, flow and production (his work with Eastsidaz, Pharrell Williams and no limit) even after doggystyle.
I'm surprised tbh
Royce is like the biggest Em d***rider
Why are ya'll acting like he s***ting on Em's albums? I think nobody discredits Em's classics especially not his peers.
Fact is, when Snoop made his list, it was rappers that he grew up on that molded his style and inspired him. That's why Em's or Royce's top 5 are fairly similar. They grew up on an album like Doggystyle so it'll have a special place in their heart I guess.
He is not s***ting on Em nor denying his amazing albums.
KTT is just gonna spun this the way they want and make this into an Em hate thread when the man has dropped more classic records than ktt's favorite rappers.

I mean both Doggystlye and MMLP are some of the best albums of all time and have huge importance to the game so it's not crazy to take one over the other.
Anybody who wouldn’t obviously isn’t Black so their opinion on hip hop isn’t worth s*** anyway
Yeah, it's not like hte majority of rap consumers are white in 2020.
Em gonna get upset and sub him on the next record
Royce and em beef would be wack.
But f***ing great for the culture

Already happened years ago but they made up
Royce released 1 or 2 diss tracks towards em but em never responded

Was mostly towards d12 id say.
But imagine them beefing now?

True, if they beefed now royce would lose all the em stans who pretend to like him too, to not look like they don't know s*** about hip hop, it took them 20 years to pay attention to royce lol
What happened with Stat?
“There was a song called ‘Dance On It.’ Em’ wrote the chorus and Em’ wanted me to say the chorus. I thought it was not good. And if I would have said, ‘Yeah, that’s it! That’s the one we going with!’ I would’ve got my album out,” believes Stat, who did appear on Encore‘s “Spend Some Time.” “But I tried to be on some, ‘Nah, I don’t like that; that ain’t a hit.’ I was really arguing with the top-selling rapper of all time on what a f***in’ hit was. What a dummy idiot I was!”

What you mean? Em and Royce were together from the beggining. Even if they beefed after, it got him a lot of attention from stans.
The problem imo is that his albums are not fun to listen to. I always like a few tracks and delete the rest.
