Yea your friends may not mind it, but that’s a bubble mindset that could get you caught up in a situation you are not prepared for. You can’t speak for “everyone” and use your group of friends as the only example. A lot of people take the use of that word by non-black people of any kind seriously.
When I went to a concert last week, the group of hispanic people behind were yelling the songs and purposely avoided saying the n-word. It’s a respect thing and a recognition of who you are around and the history that their ancestors faced.
Like what if I called you a sand nigga, you wouldn’t enjoy that s***.

Not doubting that my friend
I just get slightly irked at the idea “we” are collectively slaves. Plenty of us are doing the right thing, financially and mentally independent.
Also not trying to come at your neck, just a pet peeve. Like when people say “oh you’re so well spoken”.
We would include all of us in poverty . Obviously exponentially more black people and we are making smart moves but the way neighborhoods are mapped out etc to the point people think voting is all they can do to change . Idk, I respect getting mad at someone and not f***ing with them if they say what you consider to be an offensive slur, but idk about getting physical over words. That s*** is wack for all parties involved.
If you really wanna fight, what I do is I always try to make them act first, so I can argue self defense.
For example, if I was black and someone called me the n word and I didn’t like it, I might call them a racial epithet as well or maybe spit at them or something to try to get them to fight me.
Then if they did I would body them, since I would only do this if I was confident I could take them.
Even then though, I have never once tried to make someone fight me IRL, just because fighting is only worth it 1 outta 100 times.
Not trying to be the condescending white guy who tells black people how to act, but my personal advice would be to just let it go and be better than them if they do some f*** s***. Don’t drag yourself down tooMy point
