Very possible but if this movie was screened months ago with no mention of this it seems truth is on his side. Not defending this guy regardless I could care less. Just very convenient timing and an excuse for the media not to report on Biden's son (once again).

i mean, he has a point, this was aired before and no one gave a s***, it's just because someone @ The Guardian wrote a review giving their own recollection and it was coupled next to another reporter who put (actually) fake texts saying he was further compromised which caused the story to trend on twitter. More liberal leaning pundits on twitter who have also seen it (i.e. Yashar Ali) have also said it's not as people are describing it but just generally uncomfortable. You can see people showing the script of the scene in the replies and it's more like the introduction to something which could ahve been bad rather than what was filmed being bad itself.
