Hey @sab I wanted to ping you to help me write out some rules for a thread idea I have.

In gaming sxn I want to make a retro gaming megathread, or maybe just one about retro handheld devices because there's some interest on them already in some dead threads that aren't very broad or maintained at all.

My main aim is to keep a release schedule, have important documents/info in one spot, and post reviews or just youtube accounts on this stuff in general as well as post general news and provide some instructions on buying this stuff, maybe have a list of brands or devices in their rescpective tiers. There's a lot of reddits on this stuff but gaming sxn deserves more content lol

But this stuff is related to emulation whether I make an overall emulation thread or just one about the handhelds alone. I want the top to have rules immedietly showing in line with the site so no one accidentally gets banned. I assume we can't share direct links to roms, but where is the line exactly? Can we link sites like pokeharbor or github, can I have youtube links with directions on this stuff, can I give the direct link to the primary github mega, or the reddit thread that holds these links, etc - you know what I mean?

Even if you want to write the list of rules yourself I think that could be helpful, I just don't know where the line is.

i’m not gonna pretend to be an expert, but from my understanding, romhacks are typically code that you attach to the base rom, right?

i think linking to the reddit thread would be okay

the youtube link is up to you, as long as it doesn’t promote piracy of course. piracy is bad, and ktt2.com is very against piracy. you wouldn’t pirate a box of Post Malone Oreos, would you?

i don’t think linking to githubs would be against the rules, as long as the base games aren’t included in whatever’s linked
