Y’all thinking s*** like this is crazy innovative against what we’re saying is hilarious

    Lmao

It’s a melody loop there’s no crazy secret formula niggas gotta do to sample some s*** from a video game except go to YouTube

Although that (along with the way s*** going) is one of the ones I do like

yeah but the whole point of any sample is contextual and the context of having a ps2 game on ur album is hard as hell

Kanye is respected as one of the most innovative producers of all time and he gets that distinction primarily from sampling.

Any one of his samples can be found on YouTube and dragged into and chopped in FL.

We gonna cheapen the use of a PS2 game sample because it’s on a trap album?

Definitely a dope choice and I like the beat and song but it was just that being brought up as a retort to “future has made the same music since the year 2017/18” when niggas was doing the trap + video game samples back then is funny lol

    Gonna listen second time tonight

First half is definitely the strongest

Drake feat on I’m on One was decent but not enough to warrant to places on the album

Lol that’s not remotely close to what I’m saying

Guy I’m Responding to: “there’s a tekken sample on here and y’all are saying he’s been making the same music since 2016”

2015: niggas acting this same way over drake sampling donkey Kong. 2010-2011: wiz Khalifa - never been

Lol and if I went thru old future this prolly ain’t his first time sampling video games

Lol was just responding to the idea that because a nigga dragged a YouTube tekken sample into fl (like niggas have done for the past 10 or so years) that makes this some never before done s*** that kills off all the criticism in here of this being a repetitive album. I like the Ye and future song I just thought that was a funny comment

I wouldn’t say this album is particularly innovative, but I also wouldn’t say it sounds like the exact same Future we’ve been getting since 2015.

There are subtle differences to his sound throughout the album, but it’s still a trap album through and through. Not every album has to be innovative to be good, as long as it’s entertaining

  • Apr 29, 2022

future has never missed on an intro mannn

  • Apr 29, 2022

We have to remember Future was ahead of his time. He was innovative back then because no one was making trap music that sounded like his. His influence was a result of him being ahead of the curve.

I think Young Thug is an artist who sets out to innovate and purposefully go against the grain (like Kanye), whereas Future is an artist who knows his identity, but he came onto the scene at a time when his identity was innovative.

I don’t go into new Future music expecting something genre defying, I expect Future’s trademark brand of trap music.

I don’t understand why people now criticize him for not pushing the sound forward since I don’t really think that’s ever been his MO
