Just gonna ignore the blatant betrayal behind words like 'nobodys been tougher on Russia' and the actions of trying to get them reinstated for G7, as well as sending them coronavirus funding and ventilators then. All while he had knowledge of this.

Traitor proves himself a traitor once again and you're content to turn a blind eye.

Wait coronavirus funding is a bad thing now??

You guys rly been brainwashed about Russia to the point where your hatred goes far beyond the govt, you don't even see the average Russian people as worthy human beings

There's a fundamental conflict of interest. Its indefensible. US and Russia are not allies. There is no excuse to send them aid packages while merrily sitting on this knowledge and not doing anything about it. Yet another example of this administration f***ing over military and bending to Russian will.

Its got nothing to do with seeing people as human beings or not. Its straight up treason at the highest level of govt. Russia has its own set of allies to request aid from. Not to mention if their wealth was properly invested they could easily build the infastructure needed. I heavily doubt any Coronavirus funds sent were utilised properly given we're still seeing lack of PPE and falsified figures.

The irony in acting like this administration sent funding for the good of humanity. All while keeping kids in cages, packed prisons, forcing meat production to continue, laughing at the idea of wearing a mask, using chemical weaponary on your own citizens, and holding unnecessary mass public gatherings.

Venezuela under Hugo Chavez gave free heating oil to poor families in the US despite the fact that US government has attempted multiple coups against his government.

Cuba has offered aid to the US to fight COVID-19 despite the fact that the US is waging a 60+ year lasting economic warfare and embargo against them (that they've recently been ramping up again) and despite the fact that the US itself has blocked medical aid to Cuba during this pandemic.

If there was ever a case of a country having a fundamental conflict of interest, it would be these two in relation to the US. But they somehow still managed to put that aside to help out the people that live under the government that have tried to undermine them in every single way possible. Unlike the US.

And the funny thing is that the Russian regime is way way less hostile to the US than the US is to Cuba and Venezuela. Russia has never attempted to overthrow the US government, assassinate their leaders, block aid to the US, or even put any sanctions on the US. In fact the US government and in particular somebody with Clinton as his last name is the very reason that the current Russian regime is even in power at all, but that's a different conversation.

The difference is that, unlike Cuba and Venezuela, the US is a rogue state led by people that do not have any regard for human life in their pursuit of their imperialist interests. To the point where collaborating with nations to fight a global pandemic becomes even less than secondary to their sacred "national interests" in the eyes of neoconservative think tanks and their followers.

Chavez did that as nothing more than a political quip. And a very expensive one at that, which was halted the moment their economy tanked. In the meantime he seized oil company assets and nationalised food companies. It's the move of an egomaniac while his own people suffered at home and the wealth disparity grew. Don't try and act like Chavez is some saint. It was nearly half a billion annually to one of the richest nations on earth from one of the poorest, for the sake of nothing more than the appearance of strength and humanity.

In terms of Cuban aid, there are longstanding reports on their medical practices away from home, which is why countries have called to reject any aid or interaction.

Since 2006 the US has actually granted asylum to more than 7000 of these Cuban medical workers who've fled international posts.

Of course the US is far from perfect, especially now. But the grass is not always greener on the other side. And you should read more deeply before praising oppressive regimes as some pinnacle of human rights.

And to get back to the topic, one's oath is ultimately to their own people first and foremost, and that has been far from fulfilled, which is why any actions to then aid nations that are openly hostile, is an affront and treasonous.

Funding has literally been cut in the US for dealing with coronavirus, while new cases are at the worst they have ever been.

    theguardian.com/us-news/2020/jun/25/us-coronavirus-testing-sites-federal-support-cut-officials-alarm

So, any idea of then redirecting that funding to an enemy nation, actively seeking the deaths of US soldiers, is indefensible.

I wouldn’t even be surprised if Russia makes their move soon. They already have the country falling apart at the seams- it almost seems like a natural progression.

You gotta use that brain of yours a little more in researching and reading. As opposed to blanket dismissing media, which is simply reporting a story that EVERY network and print journalist is reporting on. The evidence for why happens to be in those articles.

And I dont know why you would criticise the BBC if you're gonna criticise media. Diminishes your point rather heavily. They're slightly establishment leaning, but they are about as unbiased as it gets, along with Reuters.

You're never going to find unbiased media, never have, and the world has still functioned and got factual news in the meantime. Just because you see media that you don't like doesn't mean you can't go a step further and actually research the journalist and their reputation.

There is formulating your own opinion through a careful, measured approach, weighing up sources and facts, and then there is the straight-up wilful ignorance that you are displaying.

NYT leaked this story from arms manufacturers at the negotiating table who want us to stay in Afghanistan and not sign a peace deal with the Taliban.

This article is pure propaganda that can’t even be corroborated. This article was released right at this time in direct response to the negotitations getting more serious.

Lets see if Trump has some semblance of a spine and gets a peace deal done.
