Three 6 were an underground group until 2005 lol and their early early run from 1991-pre Mystic Stylez 1995 was literally only sold in Memphis

Sippin on some Syrup came out in 2000 on their album that went platinum that same year.

    Once again, keep lying.

Imagine saying this to niggas that grew up on them and other southern rap legends like we didn't see that s*** pop off. :word:

This is why the group says out of their own mouths they were underground until 2005 lol

Platinum in 2000 wasn't the same thing as Platinum now

Like we make mysterious music jokes about artists we just dont like but where you hearing rx being bumped bruh?

Because 2005 was when they got the Oscars for Hustle & Flow.

That is no where near the same as you original comment saying "no one was bumping Three 6 during their run"

Three 6 was always beloved for the people that heard their music, been known

Few people heard it, was my point

Chapter 2 went gold in 97. The follow up went platinum in 2000. It also debuted #6 on the top 200. "Platinum back then isn't platinum now". Platinum meant selling 1,000,000 f***in copies of an album.

What the f*** are you even talking about man? Clearly people were listening to Three 6 Mafia prior to 2005.

Y'all completely missing what I'm saying

Da Unbreakables sold 700,000 copies. It was heat, a classic, this is obvious, but few people heard it. It's not like Three 6 was a household name, whereas now, they are literally the most influential hip hop group maybe ever, certainly of the 21st century.
