59% on RT so far, I expect it to drop lower
Well that sucks
Probably still gonna watch anyways but I was wondering why reviews were taking long to drop

yeah im still gonna watch it, I thought the invisible man was decent enough
Damn, I'm wondering if I should wait on this since I got like 4 other movies I'm trying to see this weekend
Wolf Man has some good moments and good performances, but ultimately it feels underwritten. The pay offs don’t necessarily work and the pacing was a little off. That being said, I still enjoyed watching it, and I honestly came to like the design of the Wolf Man. This is possibly an insanely early contender for most disappointing film of the year. I don’t dislike it though.
3/5
This was cool but the dialogue was soooo bad and is what holds it back. The exposition smh, the on the nose dialogue pushing the theme. Like it’s very obvious it’s about generational trauma/curses but then here comes ol girl ”grandpa was sick and now made daddy sick” …yeah no s***.
The girl I went with was scared the whole time though lol

Yeah it’s a fun enjoyable movie, fun date movie. It’s just a lot of the dialogue had me 🙄

Generational trauma is such an easy thing to display that the audience will understand. Show the main characters flaw, and then show a parent doing the same flaw or similar. Simple. The Bear does it, Silver linings play book, etc.
We don’t need additional dialogue “I’m sorry for getting mad at you, my dad was mean to me when I was a kid, so now I don’t wanna be mean to you”
Or after bro kills his dad and the girl tells the daughter “Grandpa was sick and now he got dad sick”
Sad this was my most anticipated movie for a while bc I love werewolf flicks but the overwhelming amount of users I respect who don’t like it makes me want to never watch it. I’d rather never watch it knowing it could be great than watching it and being disappointed bc it’s bad

Hilarious you say this when the interview I just posted has him criticizing explaining everything to the audience, lol.

Lol damn yeah they do that here.
He gets a death certificate that his dad died, which we can clearly read and then he proceeds to tell everyone “well it’s official my dad is dead”…and then he proceeds to tell his daughter “my dad wasn’t nice, I moved away from him when I got a chance but now I wish I could talk to him”…it could’ve just shown him looking at the certificate and then cut to his girl comforting him “I’m sorry” yada yada and then discuss having to go to his old house to collect his belonging.
I came to the theatre to watch this but the show got cancelled cause nobody else bought a ticket
Now I'm seated for A Real Pain

I think what you're really supposed to get from that is that he's "finally been declared deceased". Implying he was considered missing instead of homie just leaving home with no contact
I feel like this movie was more simple/direct than most horror movies with this level of craft nowadays, they tend to get dragged through a lot of subtext and it was refreshing to see it all front facing and earnest like that imo
I don't really understand the hate too much

I mean I got all that without him having to do the whole spew of “my dad was mean to me so when I got the chance I finally moved away from him, and now that he’s dead I wish I could speak to him again” ….lol it’s very clear he left that world behind, it’s illustrated in him being in his 30s and living a city life now. They didn’t need to state the obvious. And his dad whole thing was hunting down a werewolf in the wilderness so it’s easy to figure out that he was missing
This s*** sucked

Good rips of this are out but I am wondering if its even worth the download with my crazy backlog
