necromancerI understand you can't make a broad group like that a monolith because people are much more individual than that, but when stuff like this comes up, I'm not surprised. Poverty-stricken areas with worse education and high crime rates and an overarching objective that you have to be the toughest and most hardcore person alive to simply survive what you're dealt, it tends to breed mentalities like this. It's a extremely toxic masculinity. There's also other issues like homophobia in the black community, that contributes to this as well. The way I think it can be fixed is by improving socio-economic material conditions and better education about these topics. Maybe I'm looking at this too hard through a a***ytical lens too hard but it's kind of a complicated issue that requires a bigger look at what's going on.

I feel like there could be a post saying “Blank rapper says he doesn’t know how to read” and half the post would be “hes a street rapper what do u expect
