so excited for this
rewatched punch drunk love a few weeks ago (PTA's best film btw), Sandler can really be such a great actor when he wants to be
Yup, even his performance in Reign Over Me is something to behold. Once the film hits one specific Bruce Springsteen scene, man, some fine ass acting really underrated. Should've easily scooped a nominee
Poor schmuck couldn't handle the adrenaline

this the best opinion you've had
my friend showed me punch drunk love a while ago and it's the greatest s*** ever, I someone who had a lot of cousins/siblings growing up this was one of the most accurate portrayal of those relationships and social anxiety i've seen. it's just so f***ing perfect
not watching cuz I wanna dodge spoilers but what's his deal lmao
he didn't like how there was no moral to the film, he said it wasn't bad but he doesn't like when a film puts you through that anxiety and doesn't make you care for the characters

So basically he's upset that the main character is an a****** who does bad things? lmao
TIFF have their own personal theatre once the festival is over. It's called "TIFF Bell Lightbox" where they play all limited release stuff so fingers crossed they got this coming. UG did play at the festival so i'm hopeful.
And Netflix Canada in January, need to get my ass to Toronto
Good looks my g
Hopefully they play it through the week
is it usually a one night thing or regular run

I believe it depends on the distributor. The Irishman premiered on November 8th and is still playing there right now.
A24 is quite big so I’m expecting this to run at least a week considering they’re gunning for the Oscars too & it did premiere at TIFF.
