Why did they release this

Been doing a few missions and just crusing around checking out the city. Game ain't perfect by any means but its world is fairly intriguing

This game is definitely bad and dated but I still want to return to it for some reason

It's perfect for "I'm bored and want something I can mindlessly play to pass the time"

Like Just Cause or Watch Dogs 2. Which don't get me WD2 was much better than this, but the open world games where you can just wander around are perfect for tossing on a podcast, music, hell a movie on the laptop and gaming at the same time.

Still not at all worth it's price and a complete disappointment to fans of the series

The city is actually pretty good. Lots of detail and ambiance. It's just not bought to life. You give this same exact city to rockstar and they'd breathe life into it. Damn shame Volition lacks ambition.

Really wished that they would reboot this franchise with a dark and realistic tone with AAA effort and become a true gta competitor. Or at least attempt it. Oh well though .

And the map is unbelievably small compared to most open world games like this. And tbh, that is perfectly fine but it should feel way more alive than it does. Much rather have a smaller map that is packed with interiors, bigger crowds, and just overall more detail.

No not even like SR 2, more real than that. Just be nice to have a different take on the genre that can stand tow to tow with best. Especially since gta is such a rare release.
