    Their is no reason not to include it other than intentionally f***ing over workers. Saying s*** like competitive salary means absolutely nothing. Post an actual number or range. Some of these offers I've been given are so ridiculously low no one would accept them unless their desperate. You can't ask for a salary in an interview so it can take weeks before you know and by then you may need to accept these terrible offers just to have some inflow of cash.

    I agree,but the only drawback I can see is that it would be harder to ask for more once they give you the figure. I negotiated a 10% increase once they told me the number recently for example

    I wholeheartedly agree. My old job didn’t even post the salary range when you were internal in the company it was like forbidden. My new place shows the range and it’s much appreciated

    I disagree. Knowing what the company is paying the average applicant would give you more negotiating power. If I had more qualification than the job positing required I'd ask for more money.

    I think NYC passed a law for it recently
