I think you can legally sample anything over 50 years old and that means everything from the 60s is up for grabs where is the psychedelic hip hop wave I've been waiting for

  • Jul 28, 2020

Yes but all music comes from stealing so who it’s whatever. But I think if you sample you should definitely give credit

  • Y'all ain't keep the same energy about Elvis and rock n roll tho

    No, stealing is stealing

Sampling is creating something new out of something old

    Facts

  • If you're paying to clear the sample I don't see an issue really.

Not really a lot of artists get mad or sue people when they are sampled without permission.

also to be fair, theres a big disconnect between the days of buying vinyl records at the store and the digital streaming age and getting money from streams idk if that matters in this context but

I think if one is to sample a song they oughta be able to but some older acts are so f***ing stingy, when they should just get a percentage like people do when their song is covered

Ahhh dang guess I gotta wait. Was gonna say where's the Big Band hip hop wave but Kanye already onboard with that Louis Prima sample he probably didn't have to pay for
