    Good

    F*** Alex Jones

No amount of money realistically will ever compensate the damage he’s done

you think he even has 20 million dollars to give? let's be real w/ this, it's all performative punishment if you ask me. he's gonna give what he can but the courts are just wasting time with these ridiculous fines they know he doesn't have any ability to pay off

That’s cool but like a) where do they think that’s gonna come from. He doesn’t have that type of money lol b) like @krishna_bound said before why are corporations paying fractions of the amounts of fines when they get caught doing things that are materially way worse for the entirety of humanity

Just curious, what happens if you don’t pay the settlement, you get thrown in jail?

no they'll just seize whatever assets he might have until he has nothing left to cover the balance

besides that any money he receives in his name will be garnished (at least to some extent)

it's kinda the same concept when they sentence people to like >100 years

To me, I don’t see it as the fact that he actually has to deliver them that money but to deliver a statement to show that it will take more than a lifetime to pay those families back for the damage he’s done to them. It’s moreso that he better sell everything he’s worth and the ground he’s standing on as punishment

I think I understand the point of this now. If monthly payments to the other party in court are dependent on the total amount, then even if he’s paying 500,000 /yr, which is $41.5k /mo, in 100 years he’ll only have paid up 50,000,000. I think the monthly payment amounts are divided by a % of the income you make. I’m not good at math, but basically, even if he becomes a multimillionaire, between Uncle Sam and the families cut of the 2000000000000+ he owes, him, his family, and offspring have basically been compromised of all of their livelihoods

right, but it's actually impossible same logic as when a judge sentences someone to 300 years of prison. it's entirely symbolic

Not entirely symbolic here. The families monthly/annual entitlements vary based on tthe total amount owed. The more he owes, the more he pays per month. Even if he taps out after 10-15 years for whatever reason, that’ll still have been a s*** ton of money. They will never see the 2 trillion+, but they will still be very well off.

That would have been an inferior settlement. I don’t think infowars will ever produce around that much, and it cost money to invest in that production.
