The highs of mandy (rx-64, sparky, rapid fire, raining outside, murvlana, freaky, turn down mami, settle down) aren’t quite reached on this but it looks like he was going for a more expansive and experimental sound

A lot of beautiful production and interesting ideas, I’ll be revisiting this for a while i can tell.

There’s like 5 tracks im vibing with heavy, tapenga, war in the trenches, beautiful nothing, sucre, sakurachan

One thing is that a lot of people are a fan of him cus of his take of afrobeats, his style is blended but still very much based on Nigerian urban music so the deviations on this new record are a little jarring

Reflexively my favorite tracks are the ones that keep the afropop sound palettes. Sucre for example is a 10/10 track

Completely agree.. but, it’s also nice to have a new sound to get into

I might end up liking this album better than his last one

Going from War In The Trenches to Tapenga is what special is about

Maan the last three songs are insane !

This album reminds me a lot of TLOP4. Takes some time to catch on but once it does the production, transitions, and melodies become very infectious and the replay value becomes extremely strong

Exactly what I was thinking but I was associating it more with TLOP5 than TLOP4
