    Wasn’t Hot a bigger song?

    After SMF dropped
The London kicked the door in and elevated the project commercially from ending up like his “mixtapes” B6, Jeffery, or Thugger Girls

we're ignoring travis was also on the song? Pretty sure it peaked in the first week and fell off the top 40 right away. Lots of songs chart high first week then fall off. I wouldn't call them succesful

Are J Cole fans also ignoring that Travis is more popular than J Cole now (and was at the time of the single)?

I agree with u. But Cole side also has a point. Right now travis is one of the top 3 biggest artist in music period. But Cole does have a bigger and more dedicated core. Travis is just the cool thing to a lot of those kids. They would abandon him way before Cole fans would him. Travis marketing genius is carrying him rn. His fans starting to dislike his music more and more by the feature. Cole could disappear for 10 years and still have all his same fans

That’s a good point. I think this next album cycle will let us know who’s truly bigger

Travis next album cycle is gonna have people arguing if he’s bigger than drake. Mainly because his merch/shoes/touring has only gotten bigger since AW no telling what bundles he gonna pull. The lasting power of the music on his next album will tell a lot tho.

His poor sales came from ppl not willing to listen to that s*** mostly. Stop playing. Once he dumbed himself down he got more attention. Marketing was only half the battle. He had Drake exec produce his album that went cardboard.

I mean that's cool. But we both know that doesn't do nothing for their solo careers

They can literally charge more for features and shows because of this b you niggas are dumb on purpose I swear

J cole brought people that listened to the single 😂😂

The Drake exposure at the time was a real thing too. There was a lot of talk on it.

So Much Fun is his most accessible project. The beats are his poppiest, there’s less of the wild ass flow and delivery switches..it’s just more streamlined in general.

I’m well aware of 300 fumbling Thug. I also remember showing his music to a lot of people and most of it not resonating because it was too weird. Niggas would rather listen to something less challenging, as evidenced by Gunna & Baby’s success.
