  • I’m in the corner store there’s a mother in there with like a 6 or 7 year old kid. The kid has two cans of prime energy in their hand. That’s 400mg of caffeine right there for like a first grader.

Should I have told the mother that it’s not safe for kids or did I do the right thing and mind my business

  • You did the right thing, not your kid not your problem

If you would’ve said something, Mom would’ve gotten all in a tizzy & started yelling & ruined your day

And, she would’ve still given her son the drink to spite you lol

But I feel you, that s*** is not right

    Are you a parent?

  • you couldve but what if it went bad and she gave u a nasty attitude? Let us not dwell on this! Not ur child.

  • That kid is built different, don't worry about him.

  • Not your kid. Stay in your place

  • Knx

A lot of my students will come to school with a bag of takis and a bottle of prime for breakfast

  • I feel you but most I would have done is gave her a firm judgemental stare

The takis I kind of get but putting caffeinated drinks in a high, middle, or god forbid elementary school just feels predatory and morally wrong

They come in with them on their own, they don’t sell them in the school

    Are they different?

Yeah. One is a juice/gatorade type thing sold in a bottle and the other is like a monster energy

I looked it up and it looks like the bottled version of prime is kind of like a Gatorade type drink, makes sense I see so much of it

I’m sure if a student came in with a monster then it’d be different

Oh well damn. I'd say caffeinated drinks shouldn't even be allowed for students in school but maybe thats doing too much and would be more trouble than its worth to enforce and I remember kids in my school having coffee etc so idk but that is a pretty bad problem.
