Driving from Jack in the Box (the real crime that day tbh) and drove by a certain restaurant and seen some commotion across the way so I drove closer, thinking it was some people or kids goofing around, only to see like 5 employees pinning a guy down with a chair and beating him up. I got a lil closer and saw a whole bunch of (I'm assuming) the restaurants patrons standing like 20 feet away in front of the restaurant just watching. Not gon lie I thought he like touched someone's daughter or something at first with the anger they had. Then I heard one of them keep repeating about how the guy didn't pay, and the dude said he didn't eat, or something, was hard to make out with the distance. It was a crazy lil event. Eventually they stopped and the dude got up and didn't appear to be super injured and bunch of back and forth arguing between him and what looked like maybe the manager or something. Dude had what looked like a butcher knife in a sleeve too. I didn't take any video or pictures wasn't thinking about it at the time. I normally mind my business but this one was crazy.
Anyone ever seen an employee fight before rather with customers or amongst themselves?
Anyone who has worked in that environment knows you gonna ride for your coworkers. I remember one time I was working and this grown man threw a large thing of cole slaw at the teenage girl working the register because it was “dry” (keep in mind dude didn’t even order it they accidentally gave it to him) and the whole team basically pulled up to the counter ready to throw hands honestly was crazy asf

Yeah for sure. I worked in a restaurant and seen a lot. Wasn't gonna fight dude over it, but one situation where a female coworker (we were food runners who carried these big, heavy steel trays) for whatever reason, dropped the tray, with food on it on a table (no one was sitting there luckily but it had all of the glass plates and cups settings on it. Made a huge loud crash. So I was nearby and put my tray down to make sure she was okay, since it just looked super random I thought something may have been wrong with her. Trying to comfort her s bit and make sure she was cool, as she was hella visibly rattled from it and the guy at another table in front of me was like are you gonna give us our food, in a rude ass voice crying about that lol when the whole restaurant just heard that loud crash from the tray hitting the table. I'm like relax nigga I'm trying to make sure my coworker is okay. Industry definitely pays well (where I was at at least) but can have some punk customers sometimes. Restaurants in general I guess
Sounds like some Sopranos s***, I’d stay away
Lowkey lol. I thought it was about to get really vicious at first the way they had him on the ground pinned with the chair and tbh I may have missed most of it, but regardless if it was over food or not paying or whatever it's not worth beating a man down imo. People feel different idc. But yeah I actually think human life is worth more than a restaurant bill if that's really what it was over. Handle it the legal way if it's that serious. But then that would cause you to not let dude leave until cops come, which could start a fight anyway so it doesn't matter I guess lol. Them niggas was mad af though the way dude kept repeating how he didn't pay
Probably didn’t want to tip.
he asked for a substitution on one of those no substitutes items
OP was looking at the dude like

No it wasn't black ppl actually. Not on this one lol. I'd have said that if it was since I'm black lol (probably, but maybe not since the race isn't important anyway) but yeah.
