ryuHI disagree. I don’t think there are any songs you can point to from Drake recently that have schemes and flows as complex as this. 8am in Charlotte is more of an example of what you’re talking about in terms of “washed flows that he always keeps in his bag for comfort.” These aren’t that at all. All these schemes are fresh and kept me guessing which direction he would take the flow the entire time. As far as the bars and subject matter it’s on brand as expected, they hit for me don’t really know what you mean by “rough bars”.

I mean hes doing a few fresh things on here for sure but to say he isnt using safe predictable flows too just isnt true. Literally the entirety of red button is just that. And by rough bars i mean theres some badly written bars on here. Just as there are well written bars on here.

nah he deff isnt my cup of tea anymore i said that in one of my other posts. Will always check on drake cause i been a fan since 2010 at this point and hes the biggest artist out so i gotta check it!
. He deff had some positives on his recent albums but also imo a ton of duds. CLB and HN aint it for me. I did enjoy the 21 savage collab album though. I like this too i just prob wont revisit it much. He has undeniable classics though, i just dont think anything post 2017 falls into that category. Some great stuff in there though
