These mfs was ACTING in this first episode
Need to get my beard level up to Oscar Isaacs but lack patience
Why does Sky own the rights to HBO and Warner content in Germany, I have to wait until November to watch this legally
Damn Sky is wack. All episodes went on Sky and their streaming service in the UK today.
Can’t wait for the Sky and HBO deal to run out so we can get HBO Max.

Me too but it won't run out until 2024 or 2025 lmao

Whoever was previously in charge of WB/HBO were morons. In late 2019, they re-upped their deal with Sky through 2025 despite HBO Max launching stateside six months later. Mental.
What’s worse these days is previously we’d pretty much get HBO content close to when America got it, but now it’s only the odd show like Succession, other times we have to wait x numbers of weeks or months.

German customers are lucky because we get day and date releases with HBO America and the dubs just release a few months later, thing is they DO NOT advertise this and you often times can't find new HBO titles through the app for a few days lmao
I only realized this just recently too idk why they don't say anything about that
Already did Bergmans long version don't feel like I need to see this despite Oscar being the man
I really liked it, though I felt like Jessica and Oscar being two very sexy individuals lowkey carry the movie lmao
the 2-3-4 eps stretch was really good. I watched the first ep a few weeks back, liked it but wasn't in a hurry to watch the rest. But once I finished the second one, I had to watch the rest the same day
Didn't know anything about the source material, at first I found it eye-rolling that once again, infidelity was the way to show problems and difficulty in a marriage. However, in a way, it wasn't important at all for the rest of the series so I liked it
Last episode was cool but it felt a bit weird. Even though it wasn't the objective of the show at all, I found myself rooting for Mira and Jonathan
I was ambivalent on the "universal couple" theme I saw on social media. On one hand, the themes adressed are definitely relatable. However, some details took me out for a bit - Mira is a huge hot-shot, and the mentions of coke on the boat party
What I like the most about the show was the oppressive and overbearing atmosphere of most scenes: I didn't want to be here but it seemed unescapable
one small detail I liked was the mother's conversation about her marriage: in a miniseries where most of the talks about marriage are "modern" in a way, it felt strangely refreshing
This was actually so good. I haven't seen the original by Bergmann's but from the few clips I watched I think Isaac and Chastaine acting was way better, was very fluid compared to how mechanical the og was.
The way they intro'd each episode was really creative too.
Also recently found out the costume designer for this show worked on the costumes for good time / uncut gems, shes batting 3/3 rn all the looks she's worked on have gone viral to some extent
