When other industries fail, weapon manufacturers buy up their factories and rejuvenate state economies through making/selling guns & ammo

yup. this is what a lot of people itt fail to comprehend. there is no shortage of guns which can be acquired legally or otherwise. we need to target the root of the problem, growing extremism in our nation, because targetting firearm ownership alone has not, does not and will not ever work.
