@op i looked both songs up on the riaa website and studio was certified gold and platinum over a year before collard greens so i would assume initially it had more traction

otherwise i wouldn't know why it wasn't certified on the same day if collard greens was already plat/gold

Before 2020 the other radio singles were for sure bigger than Collard Greens yes

It's literally only more popular now because of cringey tik toks since Covid started

Nah it still would be bigger without tiktok. The algorithm puts that song in with other Kendrick s*** which ppl stream more than solo Q

I remember being at the TDE championship tour in 2018 and Q was getting genuinely upset that nobody really knew his music like that. They turned up the hardest for collard greens

Idk bro but it was dead as hell lmao. Q kept saying "Detroit what the f*** is up I ain't f***in with y'all energy right now". I think one of the reasons he made Crash Talk was to try and get some more slaps he could perform with tbh

Absolutely. Blank Face was a slower tamer album and it didn't help his live show

Hope you're not referring to me. I was 21 when Oxymoron released and Collard Greens was not close to as big as the other 2 radio singles.

nooo i’m not talking anybody specifically

and that’s facts, man of the year & studio were way bigger than collard greens initially

i think collard greens was the first single too and didn’t really make all that much noise, he didn’t really break through til man of the year
