actually we know less about gravity than most things

True, but gravity is still an observable phenomena.

yes but scientific theories aren’t always held as 100% fact

they are theories that people continue to research. people still research the big bang to see if there’s anything we missed anything else that occurred etc.

Could you look me in the eye and say the same for astrology? @Cookies

to answer your question, ideologies associated with eastern mysticism are a good starting point. hinduism, buddhism, etc.

i'm more than a little confused by this comment though, given that 1. I never claimed to be in full agreement with this line of argument, although I understand and respect where it's coming from

    2. the giants of quantum physics were almost all cognizant of the potential linkage between their insights and these belief systems ... bohr, planck, etc.

who are you - someone who presumably doesn't even have a basic background in the field - to be dismissive without even making an actual argument?

Only thing I’ve done is ask questions.

Yet if you’re well versed in astrology of zodiac signs people scoff at you because they look at some teen magazine or internet zodiac meanings. Commercialization once again brings down another very exquisite way of life.
“Horoscopes are vague and can be applied to anything”

I don’t think that. Is it Vauge or are we as people simply not as complex as we think? I think that’s more believable than the opposite.

Does the written out thought just bring out your true thoughts that are suppressed due to the climate society we live in? Your true self emerges. All out realities are unique yet connected

    What are you f***ing stupid

Ever heard of the scientific method?

All of these "theories" are at least tested extensively instead of just written up in some bs magazine to sell to airheads who think their future is "in the stars"

Do you think someone just thought up gravity and molecules and we followed it blindy for over 400 years?

I think kids in this new generation need more science classes. We need more educational reform. We have people who legitimayely don't believe in a disease that killed nearly 2 million in not even a full year, think the earth is flat, and think that when the stars form certain shapes that you have a contractual agreement to be more of a b**** or get 2 coffees that day instead of 1.
"Sorry if im being a d***, im a sagittarius"

I also realize most kids nowadays won't even be nearly as educated because they're taking zoom classes for nearly two years. Aint no way they paying half the attention they normally would

I kinda am tbh these are the people who legitimately make our society more unstable or worse for the long haul. I say shoot them off on a rocket into space with minimal oxygen so they can look to see if the stars themselves predicted asphyxiation as the ending to their day

If you're susceptible to this type of misinformation you're most likely in line with the same people who are covid deniers. If you believe your life is in the stars its not a stretch that you're blind to the realities of the world.

Now if they just happen to be dumbasses when it comes to this and see reality in all other aspects okay theyre still annoying af tho, but i feel like thats not the case with quite alot of people

Theres no correlation between astrology and covid denial, they’re completely unrelated man

A person simply believing astrology doesnt hurt anyone except maybe themselves, why care so much lmao
