40 been urging Drake to be more concise on his albums but it seems that Drake doesn’t take the advice
Only time he did was NWTS bc 40 challenged him to not have more than 13 tracks. That led to a consensus top 3 Drake album
If Drake wants to put out more music is that necessarily a bad thing? You don't HAVE to play the songs, but there's people who like them.

But as far as me gauging how good the album is, if there’s 15 great tracks but another 8 I don’t care for, I’m obviously not gonna say the album is nearly as good as if it had just had the 15 great tracks

Jaded is cool but a little OD, and it’s for a very niche group of Drake fans
THYF I actually really like but if I had to cut side B to 8 tracks it has to go for me, pretty close between that and Ratchet Happy Birthday, but RHB is such a fun song I couldn’t leave it out
DMTM and After Dark are just a little bland and nothing special. Especially for the features they have, you’d expect a lot morenoooooooo :(

But at the end of the day the “hiding my kid from the world I was hiding the world from my kid” was looked at in a negative tone and the vapid lines about women travelling/faking it for Instagram just seem unnecessary in the grand view of the album
