i get why they marketed the way they did
but i also wish they hadn’t set different rules expectations in the trailer bc I wish i wouldn’t have spent 4 episodes pissed about the reality of this

I actually really liked this, once you get to Episode 3 it becomes its own thing, and is fun and engaging

If I’m right in I’m assuming this is more faithful to the comic, the movie took quite a few liberties with the dialogue lmbo

Cera doesn’t sound like Cera so far, which is odd to me

I know what Cera and Scott Pilgrim sounds like and this doesn’t sound like it haha

To me it sounds like he adjusted his voice for an animated format

show had a rough start with week execution those first two episodes feeling like they were moving at a slow ass pace

3 really improved things, and the middle part is the strongest part of the show, with fun twists

Also the voice acting gets way better once they aren't restricted to doing things from the original movie, cause it just did not hold up to it and sounds bad. Patel's actor was especially bad, he sounded so low energy it was distracting at points.

7/10 (the middle half really carried, and Im being generous cause the VAs were really spotty at first)

only real complaint: Scott is barely in the series
