Yeah exactly, but I know you'll figure out your lane.
And nah, I'm not auditioning for a role soon lol. I'm in a different field actually, cus I'm working on drafting two manuscripts. I'm just passionate about writing, including screenwriting since it includes dialogue which I love. Also, my first read as a kid was a screenplay that stuck with me lol. "The Messiah on Mott Street," By Rod Sterling
Oh s*** I never heard of that
But that’s fire bro! You got alot of writing goals/plans set up for 2025?

Yeah the screenplay is obscure by now, oh and Rod Serling is the guy behind The Twilight Zone TV show.
My writing goals are to finish my second manuscript then tighten my first one, and start looking for an agent. What are you planning?

Awesome. I’d say definitely in addition to writing more would be networking my writing, entering contest, blacklist, etc and aim to get an agent

It's a good film but my least fav in Baker's filmography. I wish it was a bit shorter length wise... The first half starts dragging a bit after a while. End was strong.
yeah I tried. Baker along with his supporters put so much emphasis via it's marketing on how they talked to actual s***workers for this film but I'm not sure if any of that insight actually made it in. I found most of it boring with absolutely nothing to say, Mikey Madison carried it tho. When privilege white directors like Baker obsess over/fetishize marginalize communities the excuse is usually to educate people or make people view them with more empathy but that's never with his movies.
imo he peaked with Starlet and both Florida Project & this are just worse versions of that.

First half is my only complaint cus it does get repetitive of “we partying, we f***ing, we hanging out, we f***ing, we partying” with the montage.

Truth is majority of people don’t care or respect s***work, including myself. So it feels like he delivers that message as a way to appear progressive, but I don’t think Sean gives that much of a f*** either. He wouldn’t allow his daughter to be a s***worker, so case closed.

you don't respect or care about s***workers? lol stop talking to me.

I said s***WORK, not workers. Do I respect the workers as humans? Duh. Do I see prostitution as a legit job? No. You can take the fake outage to twitter though being you’re in MY thread

I mean it is but ok. Not surprised a Sean Baker fan is super conservative tho considering some of his own politics lol
I would encourage more people to see Victims of Sins and Rosa La Rose over any of Baker's post-Starlet films.

So you letting your b**** or daughter suck d*** for money? Copy.
I guaranteed no one on here is that much of a b**** to where they letting they wife go out every night to stuff they mouth for money. So you can’t call something a “legit job” if you picking and choosing who can work said job based off personal morals.
I hate when people try and push a false narrative to look so progressive when they don’t even believe the dumb s*** they saying.

I mean, if Sean doesn't actually gaf, then that's really not a good look lol
