Yeah but he probably won’t have to pay anything.

the other thing to this...like did the hospital even really help him recover/not die...or did he naturally come back from it over time just laying in a hospital bed.

from what I've read about covid, most people recover naturally over time and rest. so he might've really been billed 1.1 mil to lay in a hospital bed for a few weeks lol.

    Nah that can’t be real

Hospitals be trying to tax a couple thousand for a simple x ray to tell you nothing is wrong. This is 100% believeable

They'll make your family pay the bill. Not even death can escape a bill.

It’s his breakdown from insurance. He will likely not have to pay very much if anything at all

The bill is technically an explanation of charges, and because Flor has insurance including Medicare, he won’t have to pay the vast majority of it. In fact because he had COVID-19, and not a different disease, he might not have to pay anything — a quirk of this situation I’ll get to in a minute.

Yeah right my brother got a half million bill for a hospital stay. We haven't paid s*** and we never will.

  • Jun 14, 2020

Sounds like it was just his Medicaid insurance “explanation of charges”

Usually at the top it states “this is not a bill”. It’s a breakdown of what the hospital charges him and what insurance covers

For example, my grandfather got a $30,000 hospital bill once but he only had to pay like $5

For my surgery in EU, I paid about 100 dollars for the op(including x rays, tests etc etc) and 100 dollars for a two week stay in the hospital.

The same OP in USA costs anywhere from 50k to 300k usd lol F*** that s***

Yeah but if you have insurance you will likely pay the same amount you did.

And with Obamacare everyone can get health insurance

It’s just a different system then the rest of the world

    Not Obamacare

If you make too much money for Obamacare then yes it gets mad expensive and that’s where the problem lies imo

For example, I pay like $300 a month for healthcare. My girlfriend pays $0 and gets better coverage than me lmao

Edit; for example, if my gf got the same stuff as you don’t shed probably pay the same amount

If I got the same stuff done, I’d probably have to pay like $2000 lol

there is no way a surgery is only 100 dollars idc what surgery it is

medical bills are high everywhere, its just a matter of if you have insurance or not
