It’s a series that most theater chains do now. I know AMC, Regal, and Cinemark all do at least. A good place to keep track of these is r/AMCsAList on reddit. They always have a pinned thread and usually figure out what it’s going to be.

It’s rarely anything really anticipated, although they did have Jurassic World last month and I think Gladiator II last year. So it can happen from time to time.
