I think I brought this album like 3 times after losing the files on my home PC back then multiple times. Wanted to support. Straight classic.

Really the soundtrack of that summer for me

Felt good putting nigags onto Kendrick back then. It went from “who this nigga you listening to” to “oh that’s that Lamar nigga” to hearing niggas rappin rigamortus in the hallways

I was at jay electronica show that he actually showed up to, and the DJ played rigamortis and the entire crowd rapped that s*** word for word it was beautiful

Some days I really think this is my favorite just because of how often every song comes on repeat

Was my favorite album of his until GNX, which felt like he came full circle to the beginning of his career with. After Sec80 Kendrick toned down the lyricism in favor of making the music more well rounded overall, GNX felt like he reincorporated that high level lyricism bringing up all aspects of the music to a 10. FYE, HiiiPower, Poe Man’s Dreams, K&C…. many of these songs are POWERFUL
