Sxn80 comes off as more gritty and not like a major label debut. Nothing wrong with that because I like it but albums that sound more albumish tend to be preferred

That’s not the general consensus it’s a drake lyric lol. If Drake rapping on Jay Z and Kanye beats sounds like album cuts to you then idk what to tell you. S80 isn’t a major label album but it’s an album and about 50 times more “album ish” than SFG. Also the mixing and sound quality on SFG was way more gritty than S80 (that probably changed with the streaming release but it used to sound very low quality like mixtapes of the time always did)
