I think it is ludicrous that kids can watch hardcore p***ography on Twitter very easily and almost accidentalmente and there has been no mention of that as a possible reason advertisers aren't so keen on the platform...

I say that to say it definitely shouldn't be the only change being made to p***ography on the Internet. The EU is bothered about sites storing cookies without permission and enforced that but kids watching p*** all good?

It's even so easy to find it on Reddit, they just need to turn on NSFW and it'll be there.

Unless you keeping the same energy for other things like energy drinks and other substances that negatively affect your body i dont wanna hear it dawg lol

Their are many energy drinks that are Alr 18+ you need an ID to buy

I think it should extend to all of em

Than again your here for bad faith arguments

That is absolute f***ing paranoid insanity I don’t think anyone is coming at it from that angle. I would be EXTREMELY surprised if that were true.

policing LGBT+ material is definitely a leap, but i think what bro was saying is that the right uses the “what about the kids” argument to conceal bigotry and hatred for marginalized groups versus any genuine concern for any kids involved

A question for averyrone in agreement with this: it should extend to all websites that feature p***, not just p*** websites, no? A person can lie about their age and get access to the GG section on KTT2 (there were like 2 openly stated 15 year olds there at one point, mods should be the only one with access to view ages)

I kinda support the idea but implementation without some horrible big brother s*** seems infeasible

It's not a right or left issue. To try and portray it as one is very silly.

    …it kinda is

if people made vaccinations and the entire notion as to whether or not COVID was an actual thing a left/right battle, it’s not a reach to think this has some political agenda underlying it

Its way bigger problems than p*** addiction but since this country wanna ride Jesus d*** so much, we gonna pretend this more pressing than the fact we still dont have adequate background checks before niggas purchase guns

I mean yea? All responsibility should fall on the parents. However, sometimes society doesn't know better about the products that corporations create, and that's when regulation should step in.

What I'm not talking about this ID restriction for p*** specifically.

I'm saying the right's been screaming to high heavens about protecting kids from sexually explicit material but they only do that to push the agenda that LBGT = pedophilia. They don't give a s*** if a kid sees a titty.

I would still be very surprised if that was true.

In any case, it has the more abundantly positive impact on children of any orientation, not just straight. The bottom line is kids don’t need to be watching p***. I mean, nobody needs to be watching p***, but especially children due to its addictive and exclusively detrimental impact on the person, no matter who they liked. I think that’s where most peoples hearts are on this matter. Whether or not p*** use has any impact on orientation is an absolute non-factor in it. Gays existed before p*** and they will continue to after p***.

fools will just go on twitter or tumblr or reddit or ktt. republicans just want brownie points with their fanbase

YouTube has constantly has been attacked over the years for not being safe for kids and its a lot more restricted now . It doesn't really make sense it hasn't happened with the other big sites. But personally I think that it should.

Your missing the point I am saying.

Its a fact that the right is attempting to remove LBGT books from schools in the name of "protecting the children"
    yahoo.com/lifestyle/mtg-george-santos-co-sponsoring-125722295.html

What I am talking has nothing to do with p***, its the feigning of "protecting the children" from explicit materials when they are not doing this at all to "protect children from sexually explicit materials" but to marginalize a group of people they do not like.

If they were actually going at removing p*** and making it hard to access, that is one thing. But they are not. They are only worried about the children when they may read a book telling them its okay to be gay.

Children should not be watching p*** I agree on that.

I hope not either but it’s impossible to know. They were just the only two bold and comfortable enough to state it (which is telling in its own way, how relaxed underaged are about consuming p*** online when it’s always been illegal)

Niggas become brain dead when it comes to talking about p***

First y’all were saying “no fap” gives you super powers

Now p*** is the devil and needs ID verification to protect kids y’all don’t give af about.

As if those same kids can’t stumble upon real videos of people getting their heads blown off, or seeing videos of their idols lifeless moments after they die.

The funniest part about this whole situation is that a majority of the people you know and have come in contact with have had the same unregulated access to p***ographic activity and somehow manage to maintain normality.

You’d think that be impossible the way you niggas posturing.

"It could be that Dees’ constituents were alarmed by the results of a recent survey on teens and p***ography, which was published by Common Sense Media a week before Dees’ bill was introduced and was widely reported by media outlets like CNN and The New York Times. That survey found that 73 percent of teens reported that they consumed p***ography, with more than half claiming they’d been exposed to p*** accidentally and 15 percent of minors reporting they were first exposed to p*** at age 10 or younger."

This is literally why this is an issue. You don't think this has harmful effects for future generations?

On the other hand, security is a big risk for any legal law abiding adult.

"However age verification works, Kelley said that this kind of data collection could increase risks of data breaches for age verification services and risks of blackmail for users. Bad actors may even set up p*** sites specifically to profit off data or threaten to expose users."

The party of "small government" advocating for more govt interference?
