There's a whole generation that was in their 20s & 30s when The Wire, The Sopranos, The West Wing, and S***and the City were all running at the same time. I'm not saying slop didn't exist back then, but it's a lot more common now and it's what's being pushed everywhere.

Apple barely marketed this show before, during, or after season 1. I didn't have a single irl friend who knew that it even existed when I told them about it. Thankfully it's getting its due attention and praise now but I guarantee your coworkers aren't watching this, they're watching Bob <3 Abishola and Mandy & Georgie's First Marriage.

That's not even to mention the total takeover of short form content. Young people who grew up on YouTube and TikTok never got the chance to develop the attention span to digest a weekly release show that requires your full attention and encourages you to use your brain.
