cobel created severance reveal was huge and cool but boy that episode was butt cheeks
stretching a b-plot into a 37 minute episode was excruciating
this was ALWAYS going to be people’s least favorite episode lol
second i heard it was short and all about cobel knew it wouldn’t be a fan fav
i had no issue with the episode itself
i just think within the season it could have been sequenced otherwise
i think you could have had fully turned cobel (as were led to believe is happening) sooner
You're in here every week saying the most ridiculous s***, why do you even continue to watch if you clearly don't like it? Go watch Big Bang Theory or some Netflix slop instead. Those are clearly more your speed

You had 7 posts on the last page alone just raging and fuming because the story isn't moving fast enough for you

I don't really know what to tell you man
If you want a quick, easy, linear story with nonstop action and instant gratification you should go watch a Jason Statham movie instead of this

Yeah bold move to put it directly after what they had to have known would be one of the best received episodes of the entire series
It does work plot and timeline wise but leaving Cobel out for so long and expecting people to be interested in her story again immediately after what we got last week is a tough ask
Doesn't make it a bad episode or filler by any stretch though. It's 100% a key part of the story regardless of how anyone feels about it

yes you hit it on the head with the second paragraph

Not sure they could have possibly predicted the outpouring of love for Dichen Lachman/Gemma on social media though
Twitter has been eating those weekly 3 second shots of her face right up lmao
Thank you Severance for showing white people how horrific it is to code switch your entire soul to the point your own people think you’ve become too good of an actor. Then suddenly you find yourself left alone
S*** I even got to code switch on ktt the place I used to go to be myself
I'm really confused as to how this is the popular take on this situation
Cobel is the one person she knows that may have some clue as to what's going on with Mark and how to proceed. It's an obvious desperation, last ditch effort sort of move but if it can save his life is it not the right choice? It's not like they can kill him or would even want him dead since he's vital to Cold Harbor.
Besides, not that we knew it at the time, but it very clearly was the right move from a life saving perspective since we now know that Cobel literally invented the procedure.
I agree. feel like half of the audience watched a completely different Devon than the other in episode 7
idc i always love how they flesh out the world/mythos of the show without being overly prescriptive and this was a great episode for that. great visuals in the town and house too.
the 'reveal' was interesting but i feel like setting up a big secret like that is always gonna make it feel disappointing when its ultimately unveiled too
one issue i have with this and the last ep
it was extremely random/ooc for devon to want to call cobel to help with mark and it's pretty funny/obvious now that they had to think up something to get her to that point cos obviously the big reveal of this episode is that cobel is literally the mastermind behind severance as a concept lol. kinda iffy writing on that one ngl
yet he’s on the phone perfectly coherent
She attempted to call cobel first when he was incoherent. That was the first time you saw her call cobel this episode. Cobel spent what maybe 12-16 hours in Salt’s Neck. Devon called again when she was leaving. Mark had woken up.

Neither call makes any sense from their point of view
All they know is that she's a psycho who was with the company and was stalking mark undercover, that's literally it
The second call will prolly be explained as some kind of plan which probably won't make much sense but mfs will gloss over it cuz they can't admit flaws in their beloved show

Mark woke up after the new Reghabi procedure to speed up integration. We don’t actually know what he knows tbf. They both know she worked severed floor with innie Mark and outie Mark may know more info now
All they indicated is that he woke up, Devon and him spoke and that they “want to try something else” beyond Marks reintegration process

Her brother was dying in front of her. Cobel was the only person she knew who could possibly help. It’s not crazy to think a sibling would call the only available person instead of just hoping it all goes right
Not my favorite episode of the season, but calling it a filler episode is a bit much. I sat through season after season of lost that had like 90% filler episodes. This one was vibey, got some Lumon lore and a reveal that’s like, cool, but not as impactful as other reveals this season. Good tv all the same
