I have no idea what that was. This whole season was a mess. I don't necessarily disagree with the end result, but the way we got there from episode one is kinda baffling. Maybe it's just me, but I have no real interest in what happens next.

    Few thoughts:

Adam Scott looking more like Nick Cave than ever when he returns to Lumon

The only way reintegration means anything in regards to Mark is if it allows oMark some bleedthrough level of control in S3 while he is stuck. Otherwise why have it happen with no tangible results in S2 before he is ostensibly trapped for S3. Even Stiller said in an interview they considered saving it for the finale at one point.

I do not believe Testing department is going to quit their work and I believe Helly is the new Gemma, in that regards. They may even call it iMarks punishment.

Major appeal to start watching this was the concept of the at work vs at home concept as well as the weird work environment. That's all gone now so I dunno

Okay, the finale was fine, but I still really have my issues with the szn.

First question: Maybe I missed it, but didn’t this guy go through reintegration and have his chip removed? How is he still able to turn into his innie?

Two: We just finished Season 2, and I still don’t think I have a clear answer on what Cold Harbor even is. Why aren’t innie or outie Mark, or even Devon, asking Cobel what it is exactly? I kept thinking, okay, maybe we’ll get an answer once it’s at 100%, but nope—they just watch her disassemble some furniture.

Three: Not as important, but I feel like some characters really had no purpose. Miss Huang, Devon’s husband (almost forgot about him). Milchick felt like he was building toward an arc, but by the end of the season, it seems like that’s being saved for S3. Irving was crucial for the half and then bye. Christopher walken

This show reminds me a bit of Westworld—great Season 1 and even 2, but their world was so complex that you’d always finish a season with more questions than answers.

The way they keep letting cobel just ignore their questions is such a frustrating watch lmao

The problem is that there’s no fundamental structure in Lumen. It’s just a big floaty hollow mystery where the workers aren’t even workers but just wander around freely. Instead of having some kind of concrete purpose with stakes and then build mysteries and surprises around it, the show finds itself in absurd situations.

I think season 2 will be alot better alongside season 3. Still a lot left unanswered n that’s okay, they covered good ground this szn and had some really wonderful episodes

This was my biggest issue with the finale. Spent the entire season building towards this grand mystery of the important behind Cold Harbor, and we end the season still not definitively knowing what it even is.

I see people saying “oh it’s when they ensure that someone is completely severed to the point where they don’t remember even their most traumatizing experiences”… the entire show has operated around the basic premise that the severed individuals have no knowledge or inclination of any aspect of their Outies’ lives… how is that any sort of reveal?

If the entire project is just mark moving gemmas numbers and progress can't even be made without him then wtf is the purpose of all the other workers?

  • Mar 22, 2025

This show is still a level above the majority of other shows from a directing and cinematography perspective alone, but the writing was a bit of a letdown compared to Season 1.

Season 3 can definitely be great with more intentional writing and now that they’ve freed themselves from this Gemma plotline

I was thinking this too. What the hell were the other three doing the entire time? Are there other people on the testing floor that they were working on? If not, then what about Gemma and Mark are so important that they were chosen for this task?

Also, we’ll probably get this answer later on (hopefully) but it’s annoying that we still don’t know how Gemma even got kidnapped by Lumon. How did they even know Mark would start working for them after her “death”?

Probably targeted stuff like the bus driver in the Lexington letter

I hope the show doesn’t give us every answer to every scenario

Sure don’t. Could be happening on a wide scale
