"Lil Tracy's dad" already had a classic with digable planets in the 90s wtf are you talking about
2 classics
One of my favourite albums ever. I dont think there’s a 3 track stretch to open an album that’s better than this one, GOAT s***

Album a 10 track streak. No weak point

That’s true but for me at least the first 3 really stand out + Youlogy + Swerve

Nah I feel you they’re strong tracks
You can’t really listen to one or two songs off this. It’s a front to back classic with NO filler. Crazy Forward thinking production all over this. This is how you do experimental rap

Enjoy man. I saw him in Baltimore a few years back and throughly enjoyed the show. Would see him again for sure

so keen dude been waiting for him to come here for ten years since i was in high school lmao i was underage when they toured black up
stas on the bill as well so crazy
STILL.
Over a decade later, How does this album sound more futuristic than anything out right now
I like this album although I always felt like I had to force myself to like it over genuinely enjoying it. there are some great songs though for sure

Like I said, I didn’t like it at first. Then I just decided to relisten and that s*** clicked hard. Didn’t feel forced to me, I just fell in love. Maybe it wasn’t your time yet?
Loved this and lese majesty, but their output post quazars is sad
Newest album was okay but yea. Ever since Erik blood started working with them the quality has gone downhill.
I’m not even sure if tendai is involved anymore? It doesn’t sound like it at least
Frankly, I think they peaked right here on this album. Everything after this hasn’t been nearly as good. Erik blood should f*** off, and ish should involve tendai in the production side more. That reverb drenched s*** they doin now is not it
I recommend giving their other stuff more of a chance I feel like it grows on me when I listen more. The most recent album with the trap influences I thought was pretty amazing and the second album is great too, it’s really just the double album that’s still a miss for me
They did peak but it’s still dope stuff
Black Up is definitely the best “experimental” hip hop album and Butterfly is underrated as a GOAT
I just noticed your username lol you f*** with the Cherrywine album? I only listened once

Yea Cherrywine is dope. I also really like the name lmao
But yea I agree with you for the most part. Lese majesty was cool for what it was, and the new album had some dope tracks on there but that double album was a pack of ass fr outside a couple tracks
I wish they’d release some of their s/t + black up era loosies. Ish got heaters he just keeps to himself or plays at shows exclusively. Some of my favorite tracks by them were live only

Got any links to unreleased live stuff?

Only one I got on hand. Song starts at 0:40
There was an old video of an alternate live version of gunbeat falls that was the hardest s*** I ever heard by them…. Then bro deleted the video so it’s gone forever
That bar at 3:55… bro the way he flowed… man..
