Basically boils down to a few things:

• Both sides knew this was coming since 2013, the fact it took til 2024 to truly pop off was actually crazy. Essentially was a Cold War and they each wanted to provoke each other into starting it
• Kendrick tried to pop it off before Mr Morale on family ties
• Drake was actually smart, and instead of fully responding to the subs on family ties, he pulled the s*** he did with FPS to provoke Kendrick and hoped to draw Cole in on his side
• Kendrick was going to originally respond to FPS the following week on a single with Keem but he didn’t want to pull Keem into the beef. He was patient and when he was able to find out about Future and Metro situation he used it to his advantage
• future, metro, Weeknd, asap, Ross stuff was its own thing. These are all guys who never really liked Drake but relied on him at different stages, and were hoping to kick him out and remove any leverage he had in the industry
• Lucian and other higher ups were supportive of both sides for various reasons
• as far as Kendrick and Drake directly, they both had been stacking ammo for years and certain lines on their disses date back 10+ years on earlier disses they had in the tuck
• open secret in the industry but both Drake and Kendrick have very few true friends amongst the artists they work with, and most people in the industry hoped they both came out of the beef wounded

Honestly he doesn’t have too much tea, and he’s been fairly open about his struggles but yeah he had a very rough childhood, struggled with addiction, got clean and has just been a pretty positive guy in the industry.

He did have some drama with 3k over Erykah but they peaced it up relatively quickly

• do u got anything on non-hip hop musicians eg rock and metal people?
• is it true that diana ross been with just about everyone from marvin to berry but nevertheless she is largely 'self made'?
• on that note do u got any crazy berry stories or stories from that era? do u think hes the most ruthless music exec of all time or in your opinion is there anyone bar for bar worse?

Honestly when it comes to that era I’m just hearing stuff from old timers in the industry who worked with guys that worked with those classic artists.

As far as rock, a lot of the classic rock s*** has been aired out but so many of them are pedos. But what might not be known is that the labels back then were well aware and even supportive of their proclivities. Helping them acquire victims and cover up crimes. Truly sickening.

Some more modern-ish rock stuff, but Dave Grohl wrote some of the big nirvana songs Kurt gets credit for. He also originally wanted to keep the nirvana name going but that was obviously not gonna happen.

As far as decline of rock throughout 2000s, labels realized hip hop was more profitable because both black and white people would listen to it and buy it, but black people were less likely to buy rock music.

Darius Rucker is the number one trafficker of ecstasy in Tennessee, peddling it to all the country clubs and even stamping his name and face onto pills sometimes 😭

okay this is an entire shot in the dark but do u know who now hosts a show called ? afaik his dad was in the industry doing some sort of maintenance work and he was writing for the big brother for a bit, but i always wondered how he can live in la entirely swagged out openly talking about gambling and driving a real nice car meanwhile his nearest claim to fame is a semi-popular metalcore band and owning a hardcore punk label

I don’t know of him personally or anything, but there’s plenty of guys like that with family money going back hundreds of years you wouldn’t even know about.

Either that or he’s some rich guys boy toy which is also fairly common
