Maybe Johnson mistook the online conversation about Cavill’s run as Kal-El for real-world interest, or he didn’t realize that online discourse about Zack Snyder’s first three DC films was partially a bot-driven vocal minority. Perhaps he didn’t care.
Yea f*** Scott and Umberto. Its basically a hit piece. And Scott never recovered from the fatality Zack did to him on twitter.
So, in short:
Dwayne didn't want anything to do with Shazam and only wanted to face Cavill's Superman
The mid credit scene of Shazam 2 was supposed to be the post credit scene of Black Adam
Dwayne didn't allow the JSA members to appear in the Shazam scene, which is why Economos and Harcourt appear instead

The last point is super strange to me. They are not his characters so how does he have control over that?

He's the same guy who went over Hamada to get Cavill, it's not out of the realm of possibility. Remember the reports of the Hawkman spin-off coming from Seven Bucks and DC?
Although that isn't happening, it seems like he had some sort of say over which characters appear before James and Peter took control.
That scene wasn't filmed close to release like the Superman scene was, I think this movie had picture lock in December iirc
Hol up
Rachel and Noah in a studio/doing press?
I don’t think they have anything together
JSA appearing in this too???
I was kind of right? Lmao

Picture lock was in October right after Black Adam released
While Levi is not blaming Zack Snyder fans for “Fury of the Gods'” box office miss, he did acknowledge on Twitter after the film’s opening that many Snyder fans wanted the sequel to fail as a kind of revenge against Warner Bros. for dropping Snyder’s DC Universe. James Gunn and Peter Safran are now in charge of the DC Universe and are rebooting it with films such as “Superman: Legacy,” which will not feature Snyder’s Superman actor Henry Cavill.
“There is no denying that at the moment there are many Snyder fans who are happy for the failure of your film and many of them wish that everything that is to come fails just for not continuing with the films of their director,” one fan wrote to Levi on Twitter.
What the actual f*** is wrong with dude
I have never seen people addressing a flop like this right after it drops man

Wow lmao guess I’ll check it out when it hits streaming
Enjoyed the first one, but in a parody sense as a film, and not something connective of a greater story that has interest.
This one just looks awfully bland, and the slate being cleaned by Gunn doesn't make me want to view it much more either.

i respect that. but it’s fun and worth seeing in the theater imo

Did you like it more than the first? Or was it just a similarly fun experience.
