I've never played it so I got no opinion but my friends have and they loved it and recommend it to me. They're not polítical or anything either
In fact the last person who recommended it to me as one of the best game ever is basically a MAGA head

no russian was genuinely shocking and wtf areas, and actually had a bit of purpose about it
this felt so forced and shoehorned in, like they spent hours upon hours discussing how they could go one better just for pure shock value

if anything it's overhated more.
i def think the goty thing and ppl calling it perfect and s*** is over-correction for the content it has and hate it gets, but at worst game is like a 7.
game isn't bad, it's just not better than other major games at the time imo
