I have some boots with a similar silhouette and I was on the fence about them because of the heel shape and height.

But on feet they look drastically different. The heel doesn't look significantly higher than most boots/shoes.

As for the shape, well, it's a Cuban heel and most "traditional" cowboy boots have them so it's nothing "eccentric", for lack of better wording.
