I don’t have access to Twitter/X on my devices so I can’t check that (can’t even see Twitter embeds here) but if I assume that your assessment of his sentiment would be an unfavorable if it was the other way around then I would of course denounce that. As stated many times, I have a problem with both sides of the political spectrum committing various violent acts against each other. I’d be equally mad if it was a left-wing activist that was shot today.

I don’t know the words he used or the context of what you are referring to but even without it: Do you genuinely think that’s a justified reason to kill him? If so, will you then be consistent and apply that same principle to yourself? Should somebody be justified in killing you because of your personal opinions or views that don’t align with theirs, or do you feel that you are exempt from this principle because you couldn’t possibly have any views or opinions that might offend or infringe on another persons life?

I know why he gets dunked on. It’s politics. The left disagrees with the right and the right disagrees with the left and they both dunk on each other. Nothing new. My whole point here has been that it’s messed up both ways and that it is tragic when a left winger is the victim and when a right winger is the victim.

I pretty sure most ppl didn't actively WANT him to be murdered. I don't wish death up anyone. I just don't have empathy for the death of somebody who, not only would he not care if I(a black man) died; he would have actively celebrated my death.

Dude was just a hateful, racist, homophobic, overall bigoted POS, who was doing his best to spread his views on younger Americans.
I don't wish the tragic death he received on him or anybody. But its difficult to ignore the irony that someone as hateful as him, and someone who didn't care about gun violence towards ppl who werent him, died in the way he did

I didn’t realize that being disappointed at the current political climate and division between the left and the right was such a bad thing. Is it really bad that I care for both sides of the spectrum and that I see it as a tragedy when both sides lose members to violence against one another?

you're the normal, rational one here. it's a human reaction to feel bad when another human is murdered in cold blood even if that person had s***ty views or was a bad person.

personally pretty desensitized/indifferent to it at this point but you shouldn't have to apologize for being the normal one on this island of misfit toys.
