Hypocrisy? Tell me one thing I said that was hypocritical because that’s odd considering that I have consistently and since the first post in this thread been saying that I have an issue with BOTH sides and the atrocities they commit against each other in the name of politics.

I think the vast majority of people think/thought he was some Fuentes/Hasan tier political commentator and didn't realize how much power and influence he held in the Republican party

His rhetoric was legitimately dangerous and he was spreading it from a position of real power, not Twitch streams or FOX News segments

Most people overly concerned with politics, especially right wingers, are dumb and gullible so I’m not surprised but this guy dying ain’t gonna make them not dumb and gullible and celebrating it instead of admonishing it will provoke retaliation rather than mutual understanding

I don’t think there was anything that tied the blackstone stuff to Luigi and don’t know of others, but regardless it’s not like some real coordinated uprising has been born of it.

They just happen, the news labels them a nut, and then everyone goes about their business until it happens again and then the process repeats itself. Idk. Maybe I’m wrong and things like that are the first dominos in some sort of massive movement but I wouldn’t bet on it. The system works hard.

As it pertains to a civil war or the response to the identity of Kirk’s killer would there be real unrest? I go online every day and I see unrest. I see this ongoing gender/sexuality war fueled by s*** like the school shooting the other week or this ongoing race war fueled by s*** like the charlotte train stabbing and you see how people act online and you’d think these things are indicative of the average American and then I go outside into my community and they’re just… not?

I go to work and s*** doesn’t get talked about and people of different sexualities and races get along fine.

I ref youth basketball games. Same s***.

I help teach this intro to business class at a local high school. Same s***.

Have recently been volunteering at a senior living facility once a month. Same s***.

And I say all this to say that I don’t think the average American really cares about all this s*** to the extremes the Internet suggests. Sure they might have an opinion but the idea that we’re on the cusp of some uprising is very detached from reality imo.
