I’ve never been a huge fan of the series. Couldn’t get into any of the games before 4 but I loved it. I fell in love in with Biohazard. Being a huge horror fan, it reminded me of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and The Hills Have Eyes. I finished Leon’s story from RE2 in about two nights. F***ing amazing game.
Now I really want to play 3. Nemesis looks insane and I want to take him on. Gameplay looks just as amazing. The only bad thing I’ve heard about it is that it’s way too short. I honestly don’t mind short games. Also some fans have said a lot of stuff was taken out from the original third game. That really won’t bother me since I never played it. As a casual fan of the games, would this be worth buying?
From the OP, it doesn’t even sound like you’re done with RE2 yet. Keep playing that for all the endings and the bonus content while you wait for RE3 to go on sale.
Resistance > re3. It isn’t bad but it’s pretty easy to unlock everything and once you do the replay value goes thru the window. I’d wait til it’s on sale
As someone who owns the game it is not worth the money. Don’t buy it until it goes on sale.

Pretty much. once you get the infinite launcher, nightmare and inferno are a walk in the park
Try RE2 Remake first. You can play the campaign twice. It's fun and it's also cheap right now.
I'd wait for a sale. It's not worth $60
Big facts
Buying games at their max price when they drop is such a boomer thing to do

I might do Clair’s story first and take my time with her’s. Just dreading defeating Mr. X again lol. That was a rush. Nemesis looks like a beautiful villain, I want to face him. Is it just the short game length that not makes it worth $60?

Nothing I particularly don’t like about it gameplay wise. It’s a solid action game and builds upon what RE2 did, however the lack of puzzles, pacing and the shortness of the story (I finished in about 5/6 hours. There’s also no A/B storyline like RE2 had, so less replayability) make it worth less than full retail price to me
What don’t you like about it?
If you've got the money to blow and really liked RE2 and are prepared for a short game, then I'd recommend it. Overall it's a slight dip in quality from RE2 but it still looks sharp and plays nicely. As others have said though it shouldn't be $60.
Yea based on the reviews wait til it goes on sale. I finished RE2 about 2 weeks ago....kopped it when it went on sale and def wasn't dissapointed.

I personally loved it, I’m a huge RE fan so I didn’t mind paying full price. Seeing as you still have a lot to get through in RE2 though I’d play that out for now, this will probably drop in price in a couple months

Just curious. Are there major differences between Leon and Clair campaigns?

2nd run game mode plays differently.
