Already played blood borne so I’m familiar with these kinds of games. I really enjoy the high difficulty and steep learning curve. Which of these two games do you guys recommend

Sekiro. If you own a PS4 there’s a big sale going on tomorrow, you could probably get both of them for a nice price

  • sekiro

  • ds3 like $20 at this point tho

    DS3 can’t be topped

One of my fav games ever

    sekiro

Sekiro is so good. Can't speak on Dark Souls 3 though but I keep going back to Sekiro even if it doesn't have as much "variety" as the souls games. Still a beautiful single player experience.

If you do buy it don't play it like Bloodborne or Souls.

    Dark souls 3 100%

Sekiro is hard as absolute s*** at certain points. This is coming from someone who beat the game quicker than most people here. You get no customization. Some of the moves are really fun but theres only 2 or 3 that are worth it.

Dark souls 3 has better environment variety, more customization and I think it might be longer too.
    Plus it has coop.

Like I liked sekiro dont get me wrong. But beating that game was like having a baby through my p****. It was so hard at a couple points it was no longer fun.

I played the games like this: Bloodborne, Dark souls 3, then sekiro.

Best way to do it. DS3 is a bit easier and you can play multiple ways and win.

In sekiro there is only one way to win, and it plays differently than both bloodborne and ds3

yeah ive read that sekiro is insanely difficult which makes it so crazy to watch no hit runs and similar playthroughs

watching no hit runs of bloodborne and the whole souls series was f***ing insane.

thanks for your feedback ill definitely consider getting ds3 now.

Bloodborne my fav game of last gen but I couldn’t get into DS3, I picked it up and dropped it like 4 times. Atmosphere just aint threre like Bloodborne and it just feels hella slow. If you getting DS3 dont be expecting anything similar to Bloodborne

Dark Souls 3 is more similar to Bloodborne with a vast world and lots of customisation, bosses, areas, armour etc. It also has online co-op like Bloodborne and 2 massive DLCs. I prefer it to Sekiro.

Sekiro is a much shorter experience and much more unforgiving. Sekiro also has no online jolly cooperation or character customisation. It does have some interesting new combat and some unforgettable fight scenes but at times feels more like a boss rush.

I will say that you can’t go wrong with either since every From Software game since Demons Souls has been incredible. (Maybe not DS2)

Broski I started and beat Sekiro after seeing some of your thread and I really dont know what gave you such a hard time What basically saved DS3 for me was the DLC's especially Ashes of Ariandel.

Once you get the mechanics down Sekiro felt so much more engaging than DS3. The challenge and difficulty was there but it was fair imo.

What parts took you to the brink ?

    Genichiro and isshin.

You can look through the thread and see I flew through every part of the game but those 2 after I got the mechanics down

play both eventually, theyre both great.

sekiro is a hell of a ride, my favourite game in a long long time. it's not as hard as people make it out to be imo, my first run felt surprisingly really smooth up until the last few bosses where i really needed to step up

it feels like no other game man, the combat captures that feeling of a duel so well and the whole journey's worth experiencing at least once

Isshin was hard haha its crazy after getting owned by this guy for multiple rounds the time I beat him I didnt even use a resurrection.

The second round with Owl in Harata was an epic challenge during his first stage, strangely easier the second stage for me.
