Hey guys,
I want to go to NY next month for labor day to see a buddy there, but with covid circulating more and more data coming out that vaccine efficacy is starting to wear off as time goes on, I am not sure if its a great idea
I got my 2nd dose in February
I am not too worried of a serious illness though since I am young and only a few % of those hospitalized are vaccinated
I do live with my parents though, each about 60 yrs old
I am also worried of going and things get shut down and its not as good of a trip
Anyone in a similar situation or any thoughts?

wait until you know more about the covid situation but if it looks fine, book it in 2 weeks. you should be good.
Vaccine efficacy waning happens all the time and by the time you should start being concerned about it there'll be booster shots
Just go lmao
are your parents vaxxed?
ya, but still a bit paranoid of me flying and going

Might be the plan, but I got to let my manager know probably a few weeks ahead of time
I got a couple weeks of paid vacation from the past year, but never taken a vacation day yet

U may be right
If I lived solo, I would go 100%
Going to talk to my parents again on this later this week

u good, go and enjoy yourself!!
You're more likely to get robbed and shot than deal with Covid complications lol
