Retail managers make like 65k bro
The base salary for first year investment bankers is 100k and I make the same as them in less than half their hours
People just be saying things in here lol
hell ya this city is s*** gonna be rich down there
gotta deal with racists and no abortions and nothing really to do but a lot more cheaper
NYC more racist than Dallas
lmao y’all got this ducked up idea of TX
Houston and the big cites aren’t like the rest of the state
Seriously how bad is Dallas or what are some serious cons I should consider
Taking a 98k salary to no income tax Dallas is highly tempting but I’ve been in nyc all my life
I definitely wouldn’t want to stay but the opportunity to save money while also living way much better is crazy tempting
You'll be going to alot of cowboys and mavericks games or you'll be bored out of your mind. If you live in rural places or smaller cities you'll love it. But NYC to Dallas might make you a bit bored. But your life will probably be much better overall
Bro said should i go from poverty to being rich or nahh??
but but but you have to live in DALLAS!!!!!
god forbid someone has an enjoyable life that isn't centered around having "things to go do" every weekend

Wait what
Why is having things to do in your spare time not a legitimate aspect to consider when moving to another city lmao
Bro put it in quotation marks too

because there's people in here that are making it out like that's all life revoles around. OP even said his savings are trash, even on borderline 6 figs. You can enjoy life & be happy without going out and doing s*** every weekend
plus its Dallas, i'm sure there's still loads to do there. Whilst also being able to build up savings & buy a house n s***.
the youth has an insane obsession with thinking you need to live somewhere with s*** tons of things to do all the time. I think most people get out of that phase during their late 20s/early 30s tho
My man, all u need to know is that Luka is miles better than Julius Randle and Jalen Brunson

That's only because with the western way of life people become more socially isolated with age and it's not exactly a good thing
Idk what it's like in dallas, but wanting to live in a city that has more opportunities for a good social life isn't weird or anything

I don't think it's not a legitimate aspect to consider but I think people in this site live and die by it like you can't have things to do without living in one of the biggest cities in the US
If hope moves to Dallas he’ll find a beautiful Arab girl and have a family.
Who the f*** wants to settle down in New York City?

Yea idk what they were getting at

98k in nyc isn’t poverty

Barely affording 1 bedroom in a decent is terrible in 95 percent of the country bro.
Its damn near, & its high middle class family money almost everywhere else.
Take it from someone that moved from the Bayarea to Arizona Phx n Tucson areas, pretty much the top 3 expensive places is the Bayarea along with LA n New York on average.
S*** is different in most of the country n way better quality of life while being way less expensive.
Whole world out there without the rat race & expense.

I have 2k left over in cash after I deduct all my expenses from my net income and I’m not budgeting that hard either — I buy whatever I want most of time and eat out a lot. My net is 5200 — that’s more than workable.
I live with a roommate in a luxury 2 bedroom and my share is 1600.
I guess you could stand and say oh but you got a roommate but I could just get a 1 bedroom in the same neighborhood for 500-600 more and still have enough money to save at an okay rate.
Dallas is lots of fun. I was there a few weeks ago and I have lots of good memories from all the times I’ve been.
I would stay in Dallas just because of the money situation and opportunity to stack money rn. NYC isn’t going anywhere if down the line you want to move.
@op peep @Danesh on TikTok, dude literally posted @luckystar old video from before where some white dude was being racist towards Arabs
what did you end up choosing @op
